Courtside 360 believes in setting high standards for all our programs, and our club team division - Courtside United - is no exception. Like many clubs, Courtside United competes in leagues and tournaments throughout the year, although our philosophy and approach are different than most organizations. We believe in quality over quantity in relation to the number of tournaments teams participate in, and are more concerned about the development of each player on the roster than national team ranking.

It’s more than just playing games!

Courtside United offers year-around programming that focuses on Individual Player and Team Development through Tournament Competition, League Play, Team Workshops, Greenlight Shooting Series, and Private Training Sessions - led by certified coaches and athletes with college / pro playing experience. Courtside United provides athletes of all skill level development opportunities at the Rec level through local League Play in addition to our Competitive and Elite Tournament Team Divisions.

We strive to raise the bar on what a quality, enjoyable youth sports experience can be for both the players, coaches, and families part of our club, as well as the facility operators and tournament directors we come in contact with.

Courtside United is professional from the moment they register, when their teams arrive, till the final buzzer sounds. It’s always refreshing to get to work with Courtside. - Prep Hoops Director

Our difference:

2028 Tournament Team

2028 Tournament Team

Whether it’s AAU, Select, or Club sports, there’s an unfortunate negative perception of some amateur athletics programs. This may be due to an unfavorable coaching environment and a win-at-all-cost attitude, or a disorganized system that lacks focus on skill development. There is also social pressure and financial strain on families. Our club team platform sways from this structure and offers a unique and affordable alternative to the traditional format, time commitment, and expense. While the spirit of the club is competitive and we play with intent to win games, that is not our primary focus.

Path to Development:

Courtside United Basketball Club (CUBC) is for boys and girls players at all skill levels - Beginner to Elite. The club serves as a ‘starter kit’ for beginner athletes who are just being exposed to basketball and need assistance mastering essential foundational skills. CUBC also provides development opportunities to those athletes who have progressed beyond Recreational Leagues and are looking to challenge themselves within a more competitive training and play environment. For advanced-level Middle School and High School athletes, Courtside United serves as an off-season developmental platform that equips and elevates a player’s performance enabling them to have a greater impact and contribution when they return to compete for their school team. Our purpose is to utilize the discipline, mental toughness, and in-game experience that team competition provides to enhance individual skill development while also learning group concepts such as sportsmanship and the unselfishness of playing on and as, a team. Instead of becoming consumed in the statewide travel and busyness of playing in multiple tournaments each month within an environment that often leaves little time for player development, Courtside United’s strategy is to train regularly, play a modest regular season schedule in an organized league when necessary, and compete in regional tournaments located in close proximity to the team’s hometown. Heavier schedules and travel are reserved for Elite High School teams. We feel this strategic approach allows for more training time spent on developing skillset and increasing basketball IQ for every player on the roster and better prepares the athletes for high-level competition.

Our process:

Courtside United Basketball Club begins accepting boys and girls players starting in 3rd grade and consists of Developmental, Competitive, and Elite teams through High School. When possible, we seek to keep the same group together as to build a consistent, competitive program. Although not required, our preference is that Courtside United players are also athletes who are training and enrolled in Courtside Academy and participate in Courtside Events. The combination and consistency of participating in private training and club teams provides the athlete a more complete scope of development, playing experience, and more often produces sustainable results. Courtside United members receive either a discount or complimentary registration (various per program) on all Courtside Player Development Programs (PDP) and Events.

Seasons + Teams

2027 Competitive Team

Our club basketball program is broken up into teams who compete throughout the year in League Play and Tournaments. League Play (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), Tournaments (April– August). Each season has its own try outs. Depending on the season, there may be multiple teams per age group separated to compete in either Developmental, Competitive, or Elite divisions.

2026 Tournament Team

Developmental Teams participate in local leagues, and may compete in one or two tournaments. These teams are for beginner to intermediate level athletes and provide an opportunity to focus on individual development and mastery of competitive club team concepts. All players receive close to equal playing time during competition to allow for growth and improvement.

Focal points of this program are:

2024 Showcase Team

  • Refine and improve individual skills

  • Allow members to practice team concepts and explore different positions

  • Allow athletes to transition into new positions or roles within a team in a less competitive environment

  • Learn and practice competitive team concepts, offenses and defenses, providing the necessary foundation to compete at the Advanced level

Competitive Teams participate in leagues, weekend tournaments, and are for advanced athletes who have matured out of the developmental team platform. This program provides members with competitive experiences and challenges athletes to train, practice, prepare, and compete at a higher level than Developmental Teams. While each player participates in 100% of the developmental training during practices, and will receive in-game experience, playing time is situational based and on a per-game basis.

2025 Tournament Team

Focal points of the program are:

  • Learn, practice, and perform advanced team concepts in competitive settings.

  • Provide athletes with opportunities to compete at a higher level than Developmental Teams within their age group.

  • Provide athletes a platform to perform and showcase their talents in higher level competition.

Elite Teams participate in spring / summer weekend tournaments and are for Middle School and High School athletes only. This program provides members with intense, competitive experiences and greatly challenges athletes to train, practice, prepare, and compete at a high level against other Elite level teams. Each player participates in multiple practices and training clinics in addition to 10 tournaments. Some tournaments involve travel. Playing time is situational based and on a per-game basis.

Focal points of the program are:

  • Learn, practice, and perform Elite team concepts in highly competitive settings.

  • Provide athletes with showcase exposure tournament opportunities

  • Provide athletes with resources and a focused platform to refine their skills in order to better prepare them for potential collegiate playing opportunities

  • Training and mentorship provided by respected coaches and athletes with college / pro playing experience

Regardless of Developmental, Competitive, or Elite team participation, player development is our upmost priority and focus!

Our culture:

As the name Courtside United might suggest, we consider our teams to be a family unified with a purpose bigger than basketball. This can be uncommon within the AAU/Select/Club atmosphere. Courtside United players participate in a local community service day each season alongside other Courtside Academy members. We train, compete, and grow as athletes and individuals. Courtside United is about complete development - making each person better - so that their influence makes others better. Our culture is character first, train and play second, but honor and impact always.

Your teams have some of the most respectful kids we see. And we’re here all day, all weekend. - Game On League Official
